Match or no match? How AI analyzes your chances
A good resume is not enough — it needs to fit the specific job. Most candidates send the same resume to dozens of postings and wonder why there is no response. The reason is simple: a recruiter spends an average of 7–10 seconds on the first scan. In that time, they need to see keywords that match the job description. If there are no matches, the resume is rejected — even if the candidate is actually a great fit.
Valya works like a strict tech lead in an interview: she takes the resume text, reads the job description, and compares them — looking for gaps, mismatches, and opportunities for improvement. No compliments, no filler — just a concrete action plan.
What the Match Score means
No match. Different industries or critically missing experience. Better to choose another vacancy or invest 3–6 months in learning.
Partial match. Potential exists but serious preparation is needed. Worth applying with a clear interview strategy.
Good foundation. Relevant experience exists, a few technologies need brushing up. Strong candidate with chances of passing the technical screen.
Excellent match. Resume is already ready to submit. Just polish the presentation and prepare for the interview.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I paste a job description in a different language?
- Yes, Valya understands Ukrainian, English, and other languages. You can paste a job description in English and a resume in Ukrainian — the analysis will still be accurate.
- How long does the analysis take?
- Usually 15–30 seconds. In that time Valya reads both texts, compares them, and generates a structured report with specific recommendations.
- What should I do if my Match Score is low?
- A low score is not a verdict — it is an action plan. Check the Skill Gaps section: it will list specific technologies or skills that are missing. If there are not many, you can prepare in 1–2 months and rerun the analysis. If the list is long, consider a different posting or a similar role at a lower level.
- Is my data stored?
- Analyses are stored anonymously to improve the service. Do not include personal identifiers like passport numbers in your resume text — they are not needed for the analysis.
